Rayid Charity for Relief & Development is a Somalia-based humanitarian and relief organization working in Somalia on humanitarian, relief, recovery, development, and emergency response through national and international partnerships. The organization was initiated by a group of intellectuals who saw the need to improve the socio-economic conditions of the disadvantaged Somali communities and also aims to target the marginalized community, with particular emphasis on marginalized groups such as refugees and IDPs to alleviate human suffering which was on its peak at the time following devastating civil strives and other natural disasters which resulted in large scale starvation of thousands of vulnerable people. The organization is headquartered in Mogadishu, the capital city of Somalia with an operational office that undertakes all management and administrative issues of the organizational programs. The organization is registered under the Somali Interior Ministry in the Department of Humanitarian Affairs.

- Headquarters
The main offices will be in North America with operational offices in Somalia. Rayid will have offices in Garbaharey, Gedo, Somalia. Also Rayid will have offices in different areas of Somalia.
- Legal identity
Rayid charity has a legal identity that it can acquire, and when it needs to enter into an agreement, partnership, operation and other dealings with anyone’s interest and condition to work. Also, Rayid charity has the power to sue or be sued by the person who complains about something.
- Focused Strategy
All the activities of the Rayid charity are based on improving living conditions of Somali people and then encouraging people to take part in large-scale development such as building roads that cross the country, improving town planning; preventing deforestation and conserving forests and combating climate change, protecting the environment; water, land and livestock management; reducing hunger, ignorance, poverty and disease.
- Membership
Membership of the Organization is open and not limited to a certain number, as detailed in the Numbers of this Law, but it is possible that membership of the Organization will be limited, when the objectives and goals the Organization are achieved.
- Membership fees
- Each member of the General Assembly of the organization will regularly pay Five Dollars ($5) every month, while it is also open and is highly encouraged that the person that is able pay more than will be highly appreciated.
- According to Clause (1) of this Number (7), any person who contributes more than the Five Dollar amount mentioned above, will be given special consideration, and will be written in a special register of Rayid
